Reverend Dr. Michael D. Warren

A nationally noted Pulpiteer, Pastor, and Christian Statesman.  Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he matriculated through the public schools of Duval County.  He is currently serving as the proud yet humble visionary Pastor/Teacher of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Apopka, Florida.  He attended Florida Memorial College in Miami and Luther Rice Seminary at that time in Jacksonville, Florida.  He received a Doctorate of Divinity from Florida Theological Seminary and Bible College (the oldest seminary for African Americans in Florida)  located in Lakeland, Florida.

 

Prior to assuming the pastorate of Pleasant View Church, he served as Pastor of First Bethel Baptist Church, Dunnellon, Florida, New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Hollywood, Florida, Shady Grove Baptist Church, Ocala, Florida and Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church, Mount Dora, Florida where he led in contributing to the growth and development of each congregation.

 

He has been summoned to servant leadership among his ministerial peers and other leaders on several occasions.  His service has included but is not limited to Bible Expositor of Mount Bethel Baptist Association, Second Bethlehem Baptist Association, Florida East-Coast Southern Union, and Bethel Baptist Association.  He has served as Moderator of Mount Bethel Baptist Association and currently serves as Moderator of Bethel Baptist Association where he will lead that august body in celebrating its centennial in 2016.  An active member of the Florida General Baptist Convention, Inc., where he serves as Vice President-at-Large.  Nationally, he served the eight million members of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc.  He currently serves as Co-chair of said National Convention’s Home Mission Board.  In Apopka, the community where he lives and works, he proudly yet humbly served his lamented friend Marvin C. Zanders as Chaplain of Zanders Funeral Home for nearly thirty years.  He also faithfully served as President of the South Apopka Ministerial Alliance for six years.
